But that's not enough, it should be convenient, and least intrusive. We set 2 built-in springs, so it can be opened and folded automatically, no need to turn devices around, totally eyes-free. And with the built-in spring, the stand pops up very fast, only 0.1s. Eyes-free operation, fast pop up, the stand looks like it's born with a laptop, but not added later.
The pop-up springs fire open so smoothly that I can attach my laptop one-handed while walking into a meeting. It stays flat in my bag when folded, and the black finish doesn’t pick up fingerprints like my old stand did. Honestly, I forget it’s even there until I need it.
I was expecting a flimsy piece of plastic, but the kickstand feels solid and the auto-fold hinges are surprisingly smooth. It's completely hands-free now, I just flip my laptop over and it's ready.
The springs make it pop open without me even looking, which is exactly what I needed with my hands full of cables. It stays flat in my bag and the kickstand feels sturdy enough for daily use.
